How this works

Last updated: 21 October 2026

RTBLetter.ie helps tenants draft a letter about a rent increase, a deposit or a termination notice, or a notice to end their own tenancy. This page explains, in plain words, what happens, who does what, and what we do not do.

1. What happens, step by step

  1. Choose the kind of letter you need, then tell us about your tenancy: the property, your landlord, the dates and amounts, and your reasons.
  2. We show you a free, watermarked preview of your letter. Nothing is charged until you decide you want it.
  3. If you do, you pay once (EUR 14.99 for a dispute letter, EUR 4.99 for a notice to end your tenancy). Your clean letter appears on screen straight away and you can save it as a PDF. We do not email it, so keep your copy.
  4. You check every name, date and amount, sign it, and send it to your landlord (or refer the dispute to the Residential Tenancies Board) yourself. We never send anything for you.

2. What the tool does, and what the AI does

The tool: for the notice to end a tenancy, the notice period and the dates are calculated by the tool's own rules for the Residential Tenancies Act 2004, from the dates you enter. Figures such as rent or deposit amounts are used exactly as you type them.

The AI: the AI model writes the wording that ties your own facts to the points you chose. It is told to use only what you typed. Everything it writes is checked automatically before you see it (see our Acceptable Use Policy), and it is always a draft for you to check.

3. What we do not do

We do not decide whether your dispute will succeed, we do not send anything to your landlord or the RTB, and we are not solicitors. For a disputed or complex tenancy, take advice from a solicitor, a tenant advice service or the Residential Tenancies Board.

4. Your information

5. Price, refunds and help

Price: EUR 14.99 for a dispute letter and EUR 4.99 for a notice to end your tenancy, paid once. There is no subscription and nothing renews. If it is not what you needed, email help@rtbletter.ie within 48 hours for a full refund. See the Refund Policy. We reply to every message, normally within one business day.

6. Who we are

RTBLetter.ie is an independent service based in Cork, Ireland. We are not part of, or endorsed by, the Residential Tenancies Board (RTB) or any government body. We do not have customer reviews to show you yet and we will not invent any.
