Acceptable Use Policy

RTBLetter.ie is an AI-assisted tool that helps tenants in Ireland draft a letter about a genuine tenancy dispute (a rent increase, a deposit, a termination notice) or a notice to end their own tenancy. This policy says what the tool must not be used for, and how we enforce it. It forms part of our Terms of Service.
1. What you must not use the service for
- False statements. Letters that state facts you know are untrue, for example inventing a deposit deduction, a rent figure or a date, or claiming something happened that did not.
- Abuse and harassment. Threats, harassment, intimidation, discrimination or defamatory language aimed at a landlord, agent or anyone else, in what you type or in the document.
- Forged or misleading documents. Forged signatures or dates, impersonating another person, or writing about a tenancy that is not yours.
- Unrelated use. Anything that is not a genuine Irish residential tenancy matter.
- Abusing the service. Automated bulk use, probing the site for weaknesses, or trying to get round the checks described below.
2. Sexually explicit and NSFW content
Sexually explicit content and other not-safe-for-work (NSFW) content is not allowed anywhere: not in any field you fill in (names, addresses, reasons, additional details) and not in a generated document.
3. How this is enforced
- Before anything is generated or paid for, the text you type is checked automatically for sexually explicit content. If a check fails, we refuse to create the document and you are not charged. You are told why and can remove the text and try again.
- After generation, the document text is checked again before it is shown to you. If it fails, no document is delivered and any payment is refunded in full.
- Describing what happened to you is allowed. If you need to quote a threat or abuse you received from a landlord, you can: the automatic check does not refuse that. Threats and abuse written by you are covered by section 1 and by the AI provider's own safety systems.
- People review complaints. If you think something has slipped through, or you want to report misuse, email help@rtbletter.ie. We read every message and reply within one business day.
- We keep very little. A generated letter is shown to you on screen. Our Privacy Policy says exactly what is kept and for how long, so save your PDF.
4. What we may do
If we reasonably believe this policy is being broken, we may refuse to generate a document, cancel a purchase and refund it, or block access to the service. Using the service in breach of this policy is at your own risk and responsibility.
5. Not legal advice
RTBLetter.ie is a drafting tool and not a law firm. For a disputed or complex tenancy, take advice from a solicitor, a tenant advice service or the Residential Tenancies Board. See our Terms of Service.
